The Foundation for Effective Governance, a Ukrainian non-government institution, is looking for a Programme Director to work at its headquarters in Kiev.

The goal of the Foundation is to help Ukraine improve the lives of its people. Governed by the principles of independence, openness and impact orientation the Foundation is bringing the world’s best expertise to assist Ukrainian policy makers and stakeholders at all levels to design and implement appropriate public policies.

The Programme Director will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Identifies, explores and oversees new opportunities and challenges for the Foundation 
  • Proposes and monitors the Foundation‘s project portfolio and content strategy 
  • Oversees the Foundation projects in cooperation with external experts 
  • Communicates effectively and builds trustworthy relationship with experts, policy makers, media and key stakeholders on content-related questions 
  • Reports to the Managing Director

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian
  • Advanced degree in Public Policy or Economics from a leading university 
  • Maturity and skills to communicate effectively with high-level executives, experts and policy makers 
  • Experience in project management 
  • At least 5 years of professional or academic experience and relevant experience working with policy makers
