In terms of the Project on cooperation with legal authorities in the course of elaboration and implementation of economic reforms, the Fund cooperates with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on industrial and regulatory policy and entrepreneurship in the course of elaboration of draft law on Self-regulatory organizations (SRO).

The draft law is aimed at promoting development of self-regulation of economic activity, assuming that a range of regulatory functions will be transferred from government to market participants. It will stimulate an increase of effectiveness of compliance with professional activity standards control.

Self-regulatory organizations (SRO) are responsible for the conduct of their members and therefore encourage the increase in quality of services, being provided, and consumer safety from unfair market participants.

The adoption of the draft Law of Ukraine “On self-regulatory organizations” will result in the following:
• improvement of quality of goods, work (operations), services, being provided by economic agents;
• increase of the level of safety and consumers’ rights guarantee;
• effective interaction between economic agents, development of prerequisites for delegation of authorities from government to self-regulatory organizations;
• reduction of government costs on regulation of economic activity;
• more effective and faster protection of economic agents from their rights being violated by state authorities.
